Sweet Sorghum is a tall cereal crop known for its juicy stalks, which are rich in natural sugars. Traditionally chewed like sugarcane or processed into syrup. A climate-resilient crop, it’s drought-tolerant and thrives even in poor soils. Nutritionally, it is high in antioxidants and gluten-free. The syrup is a rich source of iron and energy, especially useful in anemia-prone populations. This is a great addition to a juicing regimen, the sweetness of the stalks will temper the bitter taste in green vegetables like bitter leaf, ugu & scent leaf.
