Help Us Find A Long-Term Home To Grow For Our Community

We're a small local farm looking for land to grow from, long-term. To keep doing this well, we need a place we can settle into.

Why This Matters

Beyond Finding Land

This is beyond finding land, it's about making sure people can keep accessing the food that matters to them.

Right now, many families rely on vegetables shipped from far away or settle for substitutes that don't quite taste right.

A long-term home for the farm means we can plan multi-year crop rotations, build soil quality, and grow more of the heritage crops that mean home for our community.

A Bit About Us

Who We Are

True North Tropical is a small but mighty farm based in Baden, Ontario. We grow Afro-heritage produce: ugu, ewedu, ndolé, anchia, Cameroon pepper, and more.

Our farmer Aramide brings hands-on experience working land in Southern Ontario and the Prairies.

What We're Looking For

A Long-Term Partner

We are flexible on the specific arrangement, but here's the shape:

01
5+ acres of workable land in Waterloo Region or nearby Southern Ontario
02
Long-term commitment of 5 to 10 years minimum
03
Water access for irrigation
04
Reasonable proximity to road access for delivery vehicles
What We Bring

A Real Working Farm

If you have land sitting underused, we bring it back to life:

01
Soil-building, ecological growing practices that restore fertility year over year
02
Community visibility through farm tours, open days, and storytelling
03
EFAO membership and ecological credibility
04
Predictable annual revenue tied to the land use
05
Long-term care of the land for future seasons
